St John Drogheda receive Mayoral Award.

 

 

 

A great night at the Mayoral Awards in the Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda. Members from St John Ambulance received a Mayoral Award for there contribution to the community and service provided throughout the Town/County. This is a great honor to appreciate our volunteers Locally & Nationwide who give up their time freely to help in their local areas at community events and during times of crisis like the water issues in 2017 and storms etc, were we mobilized our ambulances to assist those who needed.

Irish Maritime Festival June 2018

Drogheda Division provided Medical Cover at the Irish Maritime Festival held in Drogheda Port on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July 2018. The Division provided 2 Ambulances, 12 responder’s and a Medical Tent during the Festival. Drogheda Order of Malta assisted us with 4 responder’s. During the Festival Drogheda Coastguard, Boyne Fishermen Rescue and Civil Defense provided boat cover for the water activities.

On Saturday 16th we also provided ambulance cover for the year Boyne Swim.

St John Glanmire to host Community First Responder Information Evening 17th April

St John Ambulance Glanmire, in association with the National Ambulance Service (NAS) and CFR Ireland, will host an information evening at its Divisional Headquarters Unit 5D, Glanmire Industrial Estate, Sallybrook, Glanmire T45 DY62 on Tuesday 17th April at 7pm.

The information session is intended to inform members of the local community about the establishment of a Community First Responder group in Glanmire, linked to the National Ambulance Service.

Community First Responders (CFR) are volunteers who are trained to attend certain types of emergency calls in the area where they live or work. Their aim is to reach a potential life… Continue reading

The Beast from the East!

Some photos taken by crews whilst they were out and about supporting our colleagues in the National Ambulance Service. In addition to inter hospital transfers etc, we also facilitated a snow bound nurse by bringing her to her place of work. We also had one of our members manning the TETRA radio system in the JVCC based in Order of Malta NHQ.

After a long,tiring and at times stressful but enjoyable week of supporting our colleagues in the National Ambulance Service and HSE, we along with our friends in Order of Malta and Irish Red Cross have been stood down… Continue reading

Its the most wonderful time of year! While Santa’s little elf’s have been making toys for the children, ours have been working hard to cover duties. We would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication thought the year, we couldnt have done it without you (Literally!).

As you know, our meetings have ended for the year so we would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a merry Christmas and happy new year. We look foreword to seeing you all again on the the of January!
