Race Night 2018

Race Night.

Drogheda Division will be holding a race night in the Grey Goose west street Drogheda, on Friday 21st September. If you would be interested in sponsoring a race it’s €100. Or you can get an advert for €50.

We’re also looking for people to purchase a Horse, Jockey and Trainer which can be purchased separately at €5 each or €15 for all three. St John Drogheda receive Mayoral Award.

 

 

 

A great night at the Mayoral Awards in the Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda. Members from St John Ambulance received a Mayoral Award for there contribution to the community and service provided throughout the Town/County. This is a great honor to appreciate our volunteers Locally & Nationwide who give up their time freely to help in their local areas at community events and during times of crisis like the water issues in 2017 and storms etc, were we mobilized our ambulances to assist those who needed.

Irish Maritime Festival June 2018

Drogheda Division provided Medical Cover at the Irish Maritime Festival held in Drogheda Port on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July 2018. The Division provided 2 Ambulances, 12 responder’s and a Medical Tent during the Festival. Drogheda Order of Malta assisted us with 4 responder’s. During the Festival Drogheda Coastguard, Boyne Fishermen Rescue and Civil Defense provided boat cover for the water activities.

On Saturday 16th we also provided ambulance cover for the year Boyne Swim.

Surprise tribute at Dominican Ball

Last night some of our volunteers attended the Ball for the Dominican Order held in the West-court hotel.  The church had organised a number of events over the last few years, which the volunteers from St John ambulance provided medical cover at.  Unknown to us all Fr Jim Donleavy had more plans for us.

European Sand yachting Event

Drogheda Division provided Medical cover for the European Sand yachting event held on Bettystown/Laytown Beach in Co.Meath. Our crews were up nice and early each day to ensure the participants and spectators had a safe week . The event itself ran over 6 days which included a training day.

New members welcome

Training starts back next week for all Cadet and Adult members. New members are welcome, with or without experience as training will be provided. If your already a registered EMT, PARA, AP, NURSE or DOCTOR and want to help out in the community and or keep your skill levels up, we want to hear from you.

Cadets (11to18yrs) train each Monday from 630pm to 830pm

Volunteer for Us

We are always looking for bright and enthusiastic people who enjoy team work and want to learn new skills.

St.John Ambulance is made up of volunteers from every walk in life, from those professionally involved with pre-hospital care to people who had no previous experience of first aid prior to joining the organisation.

Donate to Us

We receive no State funding. We are entirely dependent on contributions from the public and donations made to the Organisation for services rendered by our volunteer members.

All donations, however small, are therefore greatly appreciated.
