Trauma Queen in St Patrick’s Day Parade Drogheda

Trauma Queen is no ordinary ambulance, it’s a transforming Ambulance, looks like an ambulance from the outside, but comes apart to turn into an A/E Department on the inside. St Patrick’s day was the test run for her. The whole idea came from local Drogheda man Ken O’Heiligh, who was the brains and foreman behind the idea and its design.

Congratulations Emma.

On behalf of myself and the members of the division, I would like to congratulate Second Divisional Officer Emma Jane Uí Éiligh on her recent promotion to acting Officer In Charge of Drogheda. This comes following my own promotion to District Officer. I am now tasked with overseeing the running of multiple divisions throughout the region and so someone needed to take over the day-to-day running of Drogheda Division.

Klaus-Peter Heise Memorial Competition

The Klaus-Peter Heise Memorial Day. St John Ambulance Drogheda held a First Aid Competition Today to help us all remember Klaus-Peter Heise, but also to remember his dedication and the service he gave to us and the people who needed it throughout Drogheda. Klaus Peter sadly past away on 23rd Sept 2014, so along with his Family George, Barbara, Claudia and Sebastian, the Division run’s a competition each year in Memory of Klaus-Peter.

Today we covered a cycle race in memory of Kevin King. Drogheda Wheelers cycling club hold the event each year. This year the proceeds will be shared between Drogheda and District Support 4 Older People and St. John Ambulance Drogheda . Well done to all who took part, and to Drogheda Gardai for there assistance ..
