Corporate First Aid & Safety Training

Corporate Safety Training in Ireland

At St John Ambulance Ireland we make it easy for you to meet your obligations as an employer under the “Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007”. From Health and Safety Authority (HSA) recognised courses to account management services, trust in us to train your lifesavers.

First Aid Training for Workplace Teams

First Aid Response (FAR): This 3 day course meets the recognised standard for your occupational first aiders in Ireland. We deliver the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) approved course in order to ensure that your employees receive the highest available training standard.

First Aid Response- Refresher (FAR-R): The FAR certificate expires after two years, but this refresher course lasting only 2 days allows your employees to renew and upskill easily. If you would rather that we keep track of your employees certificates, ask us about joining our Account Service.

Emergency First Aid (EFA): This 1 day St John Ambulance accredited course gives employees the skills and confidence to assist your occupational first aiders until medical assistance can be obtained.

Manual Handling Training for Employees

At St John Ambulance Ireland we deliver Manual Handling training in accordance with Health and Safety Authority (HSA) guidance. Our courses are delivered in person by qualified instructors, allowing participants to practise safe handling techniques through classroom tuition and practical demonstration. The HSA states that the practical element of manual handling training must be delivered in a classroom environment where instructors can interact with trainees and assess their skills.

Fire Warden Training for Businesses

This course provides employees with the fire safety knowledge required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the Fire Services Act 1981. On completion, participants will understand their responsibilities as Fire Wardens and the procedures to follow in the event of a fire emergency.

Cardiac First Response- Community (CFR-C) for Businesses and Healthcare Providers

In 2024, in Ireland, bystander CPR was attempted in 84% of cardiac arrests in Ireland — a 24% increase since 2012. This PHECC-accredited course enables members of the public and healthcare professionals to become recognised responders, helping to continue this life-saving trend.
