Mr Joseph Wang’endo, New CEO for St John Kenya

Joseph wang-endoAt the start of 2015, St John Kenya welcomed a new member to the St John family.

Former Bloodlink Executive Director and founder Mr Joseph Wang’endo is to succeed Selinah Kandie as its chief executive.

With more than 20 years’ experience in nonprofit management and as an Advisory Council Board member of the global Certified Fundraising Executives (CFRE) programme based in the US and the Secretary of the Kenya Association of Fundraising Professionals, Mr Wang’endo will bring valuable experience to his new role as CEO.

In particular he hopes to diversify sources of funding, and initiate sustainable models of financing the robust healthcare projects of St John Kenya.

“I am deeply honored to be selected to lead this outstanding organization, and to be part of the lifesaving programmes that St John Kenya represents around the country” – said Mr Wang’endo.

We receive no State funding. We are entirely dependent on contributions from the public and donations made to the Organisation for services rendered by our volunteer members.

All donations, however small, are therefore greatly appreciated.

We are always looking for bright and enthusiastic people who enjoy team work and want to learn new skills.

St John Ambulance is made up of volunteers from every walk in life, from those professionally involved with pre-hospital care to people who had no previous experience of first aid prior to joining the organisation.
