Community outreach in Fingal by Raheny volunteers

Our volunteers do much more than simply supplying first aid and ambulance cover at sports events. Over the last four weekends, volunteers from our unit in Raheny have been delivering first aid talks in Fingal Libraries as part of the Bealtaine 2022 Festival. Thank you to all the volunteers who took part in this outreach.

Volunteers sign up to make a difference in national training and development plan

Continuous training and development of our volunteers’ skills is of the highest importance to all in St John Ambulance Ireland. On Saturday 12 February 2022, volunteers from across the organisation gathered in our training centre in Dublin 4 for a national training and development day led by our director of training and development, Pam Skerritt.

Each of those who attended today has signed up to make a difference by supporting the national training and development plan. This plan ensures that all in the organisation work together to improve the skills of their fellow volunteers in their units across the island.… Continue reading
