Requiescat in Pace – Noel Brady SBStJ

It is with a sense of great personal sadness that I wish to confirm the passing away of our esteemed colleague, friend and mentor Noel Brady SBStJ, RIP; Staff Officer and Member of St John Ambulance Ireland since 1939. Noel has been a loyal and dedicated servant to his community through his Membership of St John Ambulance Ireland for close to 80 years.

Klaus-Peter Heise Memorial Competition

The Klaus-Peter Heise Memorial Day. St John Ambulance Drogheda held a First Aid Competition Today to help us all remember Klaus-Peter Heise, but also to remember his dedication and the service he gave to us and the people who needed it throughout Drogheda. Klaus Peter sadly past away on 23rd Sept 2014, so along with his Family George, Barbara, Claudia and Sebastian, the Division run’s a competition each year in Memory of Klaus-Peter.

Updates On Our Duties Covered, Weekly Training Sessions And Other News – Week 40, 41 & 42

Duties… A selection of the duties we helped cover, Croke Park for the Dublin V Mayo replay, Dublin Zoo, Cross Country Races in Santry, Rugby at the Aviva, Dalymount for the Bohs V Rovers soccer game and Stock Car Racing.

Training… In training we covered Medications for all levels and Marathon injuries and illnesses in preparation for the Dublin City Marathon on Sunday 30th October.

Member News… Member, Maurice has left to do volunteer work in Greece for 3 months. Welcome new member Helen & congratulations to Gerard on his first duty with St. John.

Today we covered a cycle race in memory of Kevin King. Drogheda Wheelers cycling club hold the event each year. This year the proceeds will be shared between Drogheda and District Support 4 Older People and St. John Ambulance Drogheda . Well done to all who took part, and to Drogheda Gardai for there assistance ..

Together Everyone Achieves More…!

Teamwork and Communication was the theme of our regular weekly training session on Friday 23rd Sept 2016. We got underneath the serious aspect the session title by doing a number of fun team building exercises. (click link above for some photos). In the coming week, Raheny Division members will be supporting duties that include Motocross in Clontarf, Dublin Zoo and Croke Park for the All Ireland replay between Dublin & Mayo.
